The GT 1030 Had a Terrible Secret

Today we’re taking a look at the DDR4 version of the NVIDIA GT 1030 to see what this little GPU can still do in 2026. The GT 1030 was already a pretty low-end graphics card when it launched, but the DDR4 version made things even worse with much slower memory than the original GDDR5 model. Even with that being the case, I still wanted to see what kind of experience you can get out of this thing today if it’s all you have. I tested Fortnite, GTA 5 Legacy Edition, Counter-Strike 2, Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord, Days Gone, Tomb Raider, Forza Horizon 6, and Cyberpunk 2077 at a bunch of different resolutions and settings. Some of the results were pretty rough, but a few of them genuinely surprised me.
