De’Souza said several traders belong to families that have been operating in the market for three generations. Recalling its history, he explained how the market shifted from its earlier location near the old municipality and Alankar Theatre to its present site before Goa’s Liberation. He credited generations of vendors for building the market’s reputation and keeping it relevant as a major commercial hub. De’Souza emphasised that redevelopment cannot happen overnight, as relocating traders or disrupting their businesses could affect the livelihoods of numerous families. #JoshuaDeSouza #MapusaMarket #MarketRedevelopment #TraditionalVendors #Goemkarponn Goemkarponn links https://www.facebook.com/goemkarponn https://www.instagram.com/goemkarponn/ https://x.com/goemkarponnlive
