Before the dinosaurs arrived on the scene, the world was a very strange place indeed. Much of the Triassic Period was something of a trial and error period for the forces of evolution, as all manner of new reptile groups took over in the wake of the End Permian Extinction. This, then, was a world filled with giant, alien predators across the seas and land, like nothing else the world had seen at that point - and today, we'll be bringing you face to face with them. From a marine giant that dispatched its prey with immense jaws, to a crocodile relative bigger than some predatory dinosaurs, these are the terrors of the Triassic.
