Description

You're a germ in someone's cut. One white blood cell squeezes out of a blood vessel, then another. Then it calls the rest. The readout counts the hunters, then the distance to the one coming for you. Neutrophils really do swarm: one signals and the others follow. They really can throw out a net made of their own DNA to trap germs. The video is much faster than real life, the hunter count is illustrative, and a germ can't hear: the heartbeat is the throb of the person's sore cut. In the full video you're the same germ, and you cut your way out of the net: What if your own body hunted you? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fwHd92NN2wY #Shorts #whatif #immunesystem #whitebloodcells #science
