Erin Cottrell & Logan Bartholomew in One of the Most Powerful Frontier Dramas of the 2000s

Missie and Willie LaHaye have left the familiar prairie behind and traveled west in a covered wagon to begin a new life together. Their dream of building a homestead is filled with excitement, but the journey becomes more complicated when Missie discovers that she is pregnant. Far from her family and uncertain about what lies ahead, Missie must face the challenges of life on the frontier. Willie is determined to establish their new home, but the harsh conditions, isolation, and dangers of the wilderness test their strength as a young married couple. Along the way, Missie forms an unexpected friendship with Miriam, a Shoshone woman living nearby. Their growing friendship gives Missie a different perspective on life in the frontier, even as Willie struggles to understand the relationship. When dangerous bandits threaten the community, the peaceful life Missie and Willie have been building is suddenly placed at risk. Together with their neighbors, they must confront the dangers surrounding their new home while holding on to their dreams for the future.
