Bagger 293: The World’s Heaviest Land Vehicle Is Built to Keep Moving! 🤯⚙️ | #Shorts
---
Have you ever wondered why a machine weighing over 14,000 tons is designed to keep working for long periods instead of being stopped frequently? 😱⚙️
This is Bagger 293, one of the largest mobile industrial machines ever built. It stands around 96 meters tall, stretches about 225 meters in length and weighs roughly 14,200 tonnes. Its giant bucket wheel continuously digs and transfers huge amounts of material in open-pit mining operations. 🏗️🚜
The machine can move around 240,000 cubic meters of earth per day, making continuous operation an important part of its design and productivity. Its enormous electrical and mechanical systems are built for heavy-duty mining work. ⚡⛏️
Stopping and restarting such a massive system can mean downtime and can interrupt the connected mining process. That's why these machines are generally operated continuously when mining conditions require it, with shutdowns needed for maintenance and other operational requirements.
Bagger 293 shows just how massive modern mining engineering can become! 🤯🔥
Follow for more amazing heavy machinery, engineering, mega projects and technology facts! 🌍⚙️
