Description

📘 My book — The German Shepherd Decoder: https://tailtell.gumroad.com/l/decoder 50 behaviors, one per page, and what each one means. In a survey from the University of Pennsylvania, owners who had pinned their dog on its back to show who was boss were asked what the dog did next. Thirty-one percent said the dog responded with aggression. Owners who hit or kicked their dog saw aggression in forty-three percent of cases. That technique is still sold as the way to handle a strong-willed German Shepherd, and it is one of ten mistakes in this video that make this breed harder to live with, not easier. Some of these mistakes are about training. Some are about the body of a large, fast-growing dog. A few are about what the German Shepherd was built to do, and what happens when that job disappears from his life. For each one, you will hear what is going on underneath, what it looks like at home, and what to do instead.
