Description
At eight thirty on the morning of February twenty-seventh, 2020, a red Chevrolet Impala rolled off the line at GM's Detroit-Hamtramck plant in Michigan, and GM didn't plan to build another. Six years earlier, Consumer Reports had put the 2014 Impala at the top of its sedan ratings, the first American-built sedan to earn that in twenty years. But by 2019, Impala sales had fallen to under forty-five thousand cars. And this wasn't the first time GM had shut the Impala down. It was the third. So why does General Motors keep killing one of its most successful cars?
