Ridouan Taghi: The Dutch Drug Lord Whose Enemies Keep Dying | Mocro Maffia

In 2021, the Netherlands' most famous crime reporter was shot dead in the heart of Amsterdam. The man police suspected was already locked inside the most secure prison in the country. This is the story of Ridouan Taghi, the alleged boss of the Mocro Maffia, and the Marengo trial: a crown witness whose brother was murdered, a lawyer shot in front of his home, a journalist killed on live-TV night, and three of Taghi's own lawyers arrested for allegedly carrying messages out of his cell. In 2026, the Netherlands struggled to find anyone willing to defend him. And a new arrest in Morocco may finally reveal who ordered the killing of Peter R. de Vries.
