Description

The first of October came and went and nothing on your payment changed. Your card still works and the amount taken for your health cover did not move. What that date actually did was start four clocks, and every one of them lands on a different day between now and the middle of November. On the fourteenth of this month you are handed one number, and three more move the same morning that nobody reports. At the end of October two payments land and the first of November is empty, and the second payment does not count against your limit no matter who tells you it does. And the figure that decides how much of your raise ever reaches your bank is held back until the middle of November, when no letter will be sent to you. Last round it took close to a third of the raise before a single dollar arrived. This is education, not financial, tax, or legal advice.
