In Rome, Seti I still kneels before Ra-Horakhty. A Christian cross rises above them. Seti and his son Ramesses II left their names on this obelisk in Egypt. Augustus brought it to the Circus Maximus; centuries later, Pope Sixtus V raised it in Piazza del Popolo. Its place and meaning changed.
