Description
DMX had 5 straight #1 albums and sold out arenas worldwide. So why did his own kids tell a judge he died worth under $50,000? We traced every dollar, through the probate filings, the federal tax records, and the record contracts. What we found is that almost everyone who got paid off DMX was never DMX himself.

This documentary follows where the money actually went: a $2.29 million tax fraud restitution, more than a million dollars in child support across 15 children, roughly seven bankruptcy filings in a single decade, and an addiction that began at 14 and scaled with every dollar he earned. Then the part almost no one talks about. DMX did not own the master recordings to his biggest hits. When Billboard valued his catalog at $17.7 million, it was valuing an income stream that flowed to his record labels, not to him, while his children fought in court over an estate they valued below the price of a used car.
