Description
In this sci-fi documentary, the starship Alborada leaves Earth in 2187 to search for a new home for humanity. During the journey, it crosses a temporal anomaly and disappears.
For the crew, only twelve seconds pass.
When they return to Earth, 4,000 years have gone by.
The planet has recovered, but the humans who remained behind have become a new kind of future civilization. They no longer age, their memories can exist outside the body, and their minds are connected through a shared network. Humanity survived—but only by changing its biology and leaving behind pain, death and part of its individuality.
The crew soon learns that its disappearance shaped the entire future of humanity. A route back to 2187 may still exist, but returning to the past could erase everything that humanity has become.
This science fiction documentary combines time travel, interstellar space exploration, transhumanism, immortality and human evolution to ask one question: how much of our humanity could we sacrifice and still remain human?
👉 On this channel, you’ll find dystopian futures, sci-fi documentaries, stories about artificial intelligence, space exploration, human evolution and the civilizations that may come after us. Subscribe for new journeys into the possible future of humanity.
Would you return to the people you love if doing so meant erasing 4,000 years of human history?
