Watch This to Understand the Entire Lord of the Rings Universe!

Before Frodo, before the One Ring, before Sauron himself, there was a song. One deliberate wrong note in it echoed across thousands of years of Middle-earth history. In this video, we go through the complete history of J.R.R. Tolkien’s Middle-earth in chronological order. We start with the creation of the universe through the Music of the Ainur and go all the way to the prophesied final battle at the end of the world. You’ll see how Melkor fell and became Morgoth, why Fëanor’s Silmarils set the Elves against each other, how the island kingdom of Númenor sank beneath the sea, and how Sauron forged the Rings of Power. We also cover the full War of the Ring and what happened after the Fourth Age. You don’t need to have read The Silmarillion or seen the films. Everything is explained from scratch, so even if you’re completely new to Tolkien, you’ll understand how the whole story connects. Lúthien’s choice is echoed in Arwen’s, and Ungoliant’s line leads all the way to Shelob. Which age or character fascinates you the most? Let me know in the comments.
