Description

Bet you never thought I would cover a video game here, huh? Well, at least it’s a video game based on a cartoon - so it kind of fits this channel. The 2003 cult classic licensed game The Simpsons: Hit & Run contains a massive bug during the Level 1 mission “Blind Big Brother” in which if you enter a vehicle and drive far enough away from the Springfield Power Plant, the power couplings intended to be destroyed in that mission will despawn. Driving back to the plant and walking to where the couplings should be ends up crashing the game. A YouTuber by the username of Daluigi208 already posted the bug in action on the PC version of the game, but I decided to do it on the Nintendo GameCube version, as that’s the edition I grew up with. While the PC version simply triggers an error message when the game crashes, crashing the game on the GameCube causes it to freeze up and create an earshattering sound. See for yourself here. (Headphone users beware!)
