Description

Most food storage shelf life numbers are guesses. But a team at Brigham Young University actually tested it - they collected real food storage samples from families, some packed 30 years earlier, and ran nutritional analysis and consumer taste panels on them. Ten foods. Up to 30 years old. Nine came through fine. One failed - and it's sold everywhere as a long term food storage staple. In this video I go through 12 dried foods that genuinely last decades in a prepper pantry, what the research found, the packaging mistake that turns a 30-year food into a 2-year food, and a safety warning about oxygen absorbers that almost nobody mentions. Pinto beans stored 30 years still scored over 80% consumer acceptance with a taste panel. That's not a marketing claim, that's a university food science department feeding people three-decade-old beans. Safety note: do not seal moist products in reduced-oxygen packaging. Botulism poisoning can occur. These methods are for low-moisture foods only. prepper pantry, long term food storage, food storage, prepping, dried foods long shelf life, oxygen absorbers, mylar bags, 30 year food storage, white rice storage, dry beans storage, wheat berries, food storage mistakes, prepper food list, emergency food storage #prepping #prepperpantry #foodstorage #longtermfoodstorage #prepper #stockpile #mylarbags #oxygenabsorbers #preparedness #shtf
