This New Audi A6 Went Straight Into Deep Mud… Then Smoke Came From the Hood

A brand-new Audi A6 had barely been in its owner’s hands for a week before he decided to take it off-road. And not just on a dirt road. He drove straight into deep muddy trails, made a massive splash through the water, and came out completely covered in mud. The undercarriage appeared to survive the adventure, but then smoke started coming from under the hood. At that point, the off-road trip was over and the Audi was loaded onto a tow truck and brought to our shop. The cleaning itself was surprisingly satisfying. We started with a thorough pre-wash, pressure rinsing, hand scrubbing, detailed brushing and a final wax to bring the paint back to life. Then a completely different vehicle arrived: a Range Rover with nearly 186,400 miles. This one wasn’t here for a wash. It came in for a major high-mileage service, including deep engine and transmission maintenance and replacement of items such as the cabin air filter. One nearly new A6 covered in mud. One high-mileage Range Rover needing serious maintenance.
