Description
SpaceX have posted that flight 14 is planned to complete about 6 orbits in about 10 hours with a planned splash down near the Chile coast .
My previous video about returning to Starbase indicates that the sixth orbit would enter close to the north Coast of Chile depending on the exact inclination of launch.🚀
How and when will Starship return to Starbase?
https://youtu.be/4_U-s0cw42g
But it does suggest that there is unlikely to be a significant Burn to change the orbital plane and hence the inclination with the associated massive delta V requirements to adjust the inclination to about 50 degrees to allow a North Pacific trajectory whilst avoid land during the assent stage as discussed in the FAA notice in July for emergency sea landing.
Of course we will need to wait to see what part of Chile’s coast is meant and the exact inclination .
Though this might give clues to the route back to Starbase for flight 15 or whatever is the first ship catching, it is possible that both would fly a different inclination
