Dhavalikar said the extreme heat had increased electricity demand in households and factories, while coal supply constraints and a reported 10–12% decline in power generation nationwide had affected supply. He also pointed to changing climatic conditions and a sharp rise in electricity demand during peak hours. The minister said Goa had procured an additional 50 MW of electricity and required around 30 MW more to meet demand. He noted that additional power was being purchased at higher rates, with costs varying depending on availability and the period of procurement. #SudinDhavalikar #GoaPowerShortage #ElectricityDemand #PowerCrisis #Goemkarponn Goemkarponn links https://www.facebook.com/goemkarponn https://www.instagram.com/goemkarponn/ https://x.com/goemkarponnlive
