How Educated Is Every Country? (2026)

In this video, we show the share of people with higher education in every country using an animated world map. Discover how the level of higher education varies around the world, from countries where a large share of adults have a university or college qualification to those where higher education is less common. Explore the differences between regions and see how educational attainment compares across countries. This video is based on publicly available international education statistics. The comparison focuses on the percentage of adults who have completed higher education, including university and other tertiary-level qualifications. Data years may vary between countries depending on the latest available statistics, so the map represents the most recent comparable data available rather than confirmed figures for 2026 in every country. Higher education rates can be influenced by access to universities, economic conditions, education systems, and demographic factors. The figures show the share of adults with higher education qualifications and do not represent the quality of education or the abilities of individuals. The goal of this video is to visualize global differences in higher education through a clear and engaging world map animation.
