Description

What happens when the Ningen is compared with the most famous sea monsters ever described? In this episode of Uncharted Origin, we compare the Ningen with legendary, mysterious, extinct, fictional, and real creatures connected to the ocean — including the Bloop, Kraken, Megalodon, giant squid, Sea Eater, El Gran Majá, and other famous sea-monster stories. The Ningen is described in modern internet folklore as a huge, pale, human-like creature supposedly seen in Antarctic waters. But is there any real evidence that it exists? Some ocean monsters have surprising connections to reality. Giant squid are real animals and may have helped inspire centuries of enormous tentacled-monster stories. Megalodon was also real, although it disappeared from the fossil record millions of years ago. The famous Bloop was real too — but the mysterious underwater sound was eventually linked to Antarctic ice activity rather than a gigantic unknown animal. Others belong primarily to folklore, internet horror, fictional creations, or stories for which convincing scientific evidence has never been found. So where does the Ningen belong? This video separates the legends from documented reality and compares the origins, evidence, appearance, and stories behind some of the world's most famous ocean monsters. Watch until the end to see which creatures were real, which were inspired by real animals or events, and which remain part of modern sea-monster mythology. Which sea monster should Uncharted Origin investigate next? Tell us in the comments.
