Description
One cannon, 520 balls, one song. Every ball is one note of In the Hall of the Mountain King, and every shot is calculated so the ball flies a real parabola under gravity and lands on the right bar at exactly the right moment.
Just like the original by Edvard Grieg, the song keeps getting faster. At the start the cannon fires a few balls at a time; by the end there are a dozen in the air at once. The balls you see flying are the notes you are about to hear.
Made with Python. Every sound is synthesized, no recorded instruments.
Music: In the Hall of the Mountain King, Edvard Grieg (1875), public domain. Arrangement and animation are original.
