Are You “Nothing But Neurons”? John Lennox Challenges a Neuroscientist

Are you really nothing more than your brain? In this fascinating discussion, a neuroscientist examines consciousness, information and the physical processes of the brain — while John Lennox questions whether those processes are enough to explain the human mind itself. The conversation eventually reaches a much deeper issue: if information, meaning and consciousness cannot simply be reduced to individual atoms or neurons, what ultimately explains them? From a Christian perspective, Lennox connects that question to one of the most striking claims in Scripture: “In the beginning was the Word.” This video features commentary from The Christian Take alongside excerpts from a discussion hosted by The Veritas Forum.
