What if The Avengers Had Never Been?

What if the Avengers had never been? In 1977's What If? #3, Jim Shooter takes us back to the earliest days of Marvel's greatest superhero team and imagines a world where the Avengers never formed. Without Earth's Mightiest Heroes united as a team, Iron Man is forced to find another way to deal with the threat of the Hulk — recruiting some familiar faces and changing their histories along the way. Let's take a look at one of Marvel's earliest alternate realities and see what happens when the Avengers never assemble! #WhatIf #Avengers #MarvelComics #Marvel #ironman
