Description

https://stickmanblueprint.com/ For thousands of years, human beings were bought, sold, captured, and forced to work for someone else. But how did slavery become one of the largest systems of exploitation in human history, and how did people eventually escape it? In this video, we travel through the history of slavery, from ancient societies and early forms of forced labor to the transatlantic slave trade, the enslavement of millions of Africans, plantation economies, resistance, revolts, escape networks, and the abolition movements that eventually transformed the world. We’ll look at how slavery became connected to race, why hereditary slavery became so powerful, what life was actually like for enslaved people, and how enslaved people themselves resisted the system through escape, rebellion, education, community, and organized movements. And then we’ll compare that world with something you probably take for granted every day: the ability to control your own life. You choose where you work. You choose where you live. You choose who you marry. You can travel. You can learn. You can speak. And, most importantly, your body and your labor belong to you. Modern society is still dealing with racism and the long-term consequences of slavery, but understanding how we got here helps explain just how dramatically human freedom has changed. This isn't just a story about slavery. It's a story about resistance, freedom, and one of the biggest transformations in human history. #History #Slavery #HumanHistory #Education #AfricanHistory #usa #africa
