Description

For fifteen years, we watched a desperate, hyperactive kid scream at the top of his lungs that he was going to be Hokage. It was his ninja way, and the driving force behind the entire story. However, when we delve into the psychology of Masashi Kishimoto’s writing, we begin to notice a significant disconnect between what Naruto claimed he wanted and what his soul truly needed. If we closely examine the text, the lore, and the hero archetype that Naruto embodies, we uncover an intriguing truth: Naruto Uzumaki never genuinely desired to be the Hokage. He never aspired to manage a military state, sign treaties, or occupy a desk. To a deeply traumatized and orphaned individual, “Hokage” was never merely a job title. Instead, it was a synonym for love. Therefore, to comprehend the lie, we must first comprehend the trauma. To achieve this, we must revisit episode one, where we first encounter Naruto. In that episode, we witness his complete isolation. He is a social outcast, subjected to the silent, suffocating hatred of an entire village, and he remains utterly unaware of the reason behind it.
