Can God Restore the Years You Lost? What the Bible Really Says

Biblical Wisdom for Letting Go of Regret Over Wasted Years and Lost Time What if the years you regret are not the end of your story? In John 5, a man had been waiting for 38 years when Jesus finally told him, “Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.” His years of waiting were not ignored, but Jesus did not ask him to remain trapped in the story of what he had lost. Joel 2 speaks directly about God restoring the years eaten away by loss. Isaiah 43 speaks of God doing a new thing in the very place that feels like a wasteland. Isaiah 61 speaks of shame being exchanged for restoration. Together, these passages give us a deeper picture of what biblical restoration actually means. In this video, we explore 5 signs that God can bring restoration after years of regret, loss, wrong decisions, disappointment, and wasted time — and why restoration does not always mean getting the exact years back. You will also learn how to stop treating your past as a permanent debt and begin looking at it through God's promise and purpose.
