Madlanga FUMES as CORRUPT Cops WALK FREE!

During Day 173 of the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry on 15 September 2026, JMPD Head of Internal Affairs Superintendent Elmarie de Beer testified about alleged criminal infiltration and syndicate collusion within the Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department, including CCTV footage depicting a child being removed from a vehicle during an incident involving officers who declined to explain their presence when confronted, and a separate case in which an officer allegedly stole R1.5 million in cash from a businessman by staging a fake money-laundering arrest, followed by an attempted R550,000 bribe of the investigating Hawks officer to secure his release. The testimony also detailed a kidnapping-for-ransom case in which a woman's R85,000 in funeral money was seized by Tactical Response Unit officers who allegedly held her against her will before she withdrew her complaint and became unreachable, as well as allegations against former Superintendent Manyama, who retired in April 2026 before disciplinary charges could be finalised against him. De Beer told commissioners that Internal Affairs investigators have themselves faced threats and intimidation while probing these cases, stating the unit currently has approximately 38 personnel responsible for oversight of 3,000 to 4,000 JMPD members. #madlangacommission
