Description

During the grand finale of the Fender Stratocaster 30th Anniversary Concert, Stray Cats frontman Brian Setzer steps to center stage to take a solo on Chuck Berry’s rock-and-roll cornerstone "Johnny B. Goode." Playing his hollowbody Gretsch Chet Atkins model, Setzer delivers a rapid fingerpicked rockabilly passage filled with double-stops and slurs, drawing nods of approval from bandleader Dave Edmunds standing right beside him. Recorded live on September 24, 1984, at the Woolwich Trico Centre in London, England, this performance celebrated 30 years of Fender's famous electric guitar model. Organized as a benefit for the Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy charity, the star-studded jam featured an incredible roster of guitarists including Dave Edmunds, Brian Setzer, David Gilmour, Johnny Winter, Neal Schon, Lemmy, and Hank Marvin, alongside a house rhythm section anchored by drum legend Simon Phillips. #BrianSetzer #DaveEdmunds #ChuckBerry #JohnnyBGoode #GuitarSolo #Rockabilly #FenderStratocaster #80sRock
