Description

Honey Badger vs Spitting Cobra & Baboon: Who Gets the Eggs? | Wildlife Documentary On the dry plains of southern Mozambique, a Mozambique spitting cobra leaves its underground nest for only a short time. Hidden deep inside the burrow are freshly laid eggs — a valuable source of energy in a harsh landscape. A male Chacma baboon soon notices the abandoned entrance and begins investigating. Using its flexible hands, it reaches into the burrow and tries to pull out an egg. But before it can succeed, a mother honey badger arrives with her young cub and begins digging around the nest. The competition quickly intensifies. As the honey badger opens the entrance, the baboon takes advantage of the opportunity and grabs one of the exposed eggs. Both animals begin competing for the same resource, unaware that the cobra is already returning. When the Mozambique spitting cobra reaches the nest, it raises its body, spreads its hood, and defends the eggs. The baboon moves too close and is hit by venom aimed toward its eyes, forcing it to retreat. Now the honey badger is left facing the cobra alone. The cobra repeatedly strikes and spits venom while the honey badger circles the nest, searching for a safe opening. Even after venom reaches one of its eyes, the determined mother continues trying to secure an egg while keeping her cub at a safe distance. This wildlife documentary explores the behavior and survival strategies of three remarkable African animals: the honey badger, Mozambique spitting cobra, and Chacma baboon. Each relies on a different advantage — powerful claws, venom defense, intelligence, speed, and timing — as they compete over a single food source. Who will finally get the eggs? Watch until the end to see how this three-way encounter unfolds. This video is created for wildlife education and documentary storytelling, focusing on animal behavior, survival strategies, parental defense, and the importance of protecting natural habitats. #HoneyBadger #SpittingCobra #Baboon #MozambiqueSpittingCobra#AnimalSurvival #NatureDocumentary #AfricanWildlife
