Description

👉 Download my E-Book: http://titusfreeman.com The forecast said 18 degrees on Saturday night. I still had tomatoes on the vine and kale coming in strong. I had twelve dollars and one afternoon. So I built a greenhouse. In this video I walk you through the complete build: a simple low tunnel frame made from scrap 2x4s and nine dollars' worth of clear plastic sheeting, sealed at the base with field rocks and loaded with black water jugs for thermal mass. Same principle the old homesteaders used with window sashes and bed leaves. When I walked out Saturday morning, inside the structure read 29 degrees. Every plant was standing straight. If you're looking for a cheap DIY greenhouse, cold frame, or frost protection for your garden that actually holds through a hard freeze, this is it. No kit required. Subscribe if you want more frontier methods and homesteading skills every week.
