11 Walmart Items That'll Be Worth More Than Gold in a Winter Blackout

11 Walmart Items That'll Be Worth More Than Gold in a Winter Blackout The cold is not what hurts most people in a winter blackout. It is the thing they bring inside to fight it. Every year in this country, more than four hundred people die from carbon monoxide poisoning that has nothing to do with a fire. And the week that number spikes is not a random week. It is the week the power goes out in the middle of winter, when a family that has never been without heat drags a grill into the garage, or runs the oven with the door open, or starts a generator a few feet from the kitchen window. They were not careless people. They were cold people, with nobody to tell them what actually works. So that is what this video is. Eleven things, every one of them sitting on a shelf at Walmart right now, most of them under twenty dollars, that will keep a household warm, fed, and safe through a blackout that lasts days instead of hours.
