Description

In hindsight, it seems like Frank Darabont was the person who was destined to make the best Stephen King adaptations. In a span of 13 years, he made The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile, and finally The Mist in 2007, after years of wanting to adapt the story. But since he got busy with the other two movies, The Mist had to wait a little while longer. Apart from that diabolical ending and the disturbing reflection of humanity’s worst instincts, the film is known for its creature effects. For the eventual film, Darabont contacted KNB Efx to take care of the special effects or the physical models and maquettes, with Everett Burrell of CafeFX supervising the visual effects. The film brought these longtime collaborators together. #TheMist #TheMist2007 #FrankDarabont #stephenking
