Quite a few folks asked where I get the supplies I mentioned, so I gathered them above to make things easier. Use what you already have first—there's never any need to spend money you don't have. If you choose to use these links, they help support the channel at no extra cost to you. I truly appreciate it. God bless, friends. 🌿 Every winter, a surprising amount of the heat you already paid for slips straight through old windows. Before you spend thousands replacing them, there is a much simpler fix: plain bubble wrap, a little water, and the right way to put it on. Done properly, it creates a layer of still air against the glass, makes those cold windows feel noticeably warmer, and can help reduce the amount of heat your home has to replace all winter. In this video, I show you exactly which windows are worth covering, how to tell cold glass from an actual draft, why large-bubble wrap works better, how to cut each piece to fit, and the one misting mistake that causes most sheets to fall off overnight. The bubbles go toward the glass, the smooth side faces the room, and you only need a light mist of plain water — no tape, nails, glue, or hair dryer. For gaps around the frame, I also show where removable caulking cord belongs, because bubble wrap cannot stop moving air through a crack. At night, close the curtain over the wrapped window for another layer of trapped air. During sunny winter days, open it back up and let the free heat in. When spring comes, peel the sheets off, number them, roll them carefully, and many can be used again next winter. Subscribe and tell me in the comments what state you live in and which room in your house always feels coldest in winter. I read every one, and I will tell you where I would start. #WinterHeating #HomeHeating #EnergySaving #DIYHome #WinterTips #HomeInsulation #SaveMoney Disclaimer: The content in this video is for educational and entertainment purposes only, sharing traditional practices and personal experiences.
