I restored my grandfather's abandoned forest cabin from scratch — the land around it, the roof, the entrance canopy, and every surface inside. The cabin had been sitting empty for years. I started outside — clearing the land, cutting back everything that had grown over the years of neglect, giving the building room to breathe again. The roof came off and went back on properly, rebuilt the way it should have been. At the entrance I built a timber canopy from scratch — simple, solid, and the right thing for a forest cabin. Inside I went through every surface: floors stripped and relaid, walls restored, ceiling fixed, and new handmade furniture built to fill the space the way my grandfather would have wanted it.
