Description
Every morning at 6:40, Walt opens the laptop, looks at one number, $512,340, and shuts it again. "We're fine. We just don't touch it."
He isn't unusual. Retirees who start with $500,000 or more have typically spent only about 12% of it after twenty years. So why would somebody spend forty years building that up and then barely use it? It usually comes down to four things. Keep count and see how many sound like you.
