This is the story of American ace of aces, Richard Bong, and the occasion in 1943 when he took on 9 Japanese Zeros (or Oscars) by himself in his P-38 Lightning. This absurd dogfight would go down as one of the greatest aerial combat stories of the Pacific theater of World War II.
