"Donkey Cabbages" - Bedtime Story for Adults by Grandma Tosya

Grandma Tosya tells the old German fairy tale of Donkey Cabbages in cozy 4K — a relaxing bedtime story to fall asleep to. Settle in by the warm fireplace as Grandma Tosya shares this tale of a hunter who frees three birds from a net and is given a little wishing cloak. He uses it only to reach a pale castle. A princess who prefers linen lists to balconies asks to hold the cloak — then wishes him safely down the road. Hungry and proud, he eats pale cabbage from a kitchen garden and becomes a donkey. A miller works him fairly. He finds the darker ruffled row and becomes a man again. He returns with two heads of cabbage and offers the pale one as a gift. The courtyard gains a donkey with fine eyes. He does not parade her. He buys her back and cuts a dark leaf. What she takes from the chest after that, and what he hangs on a peg… that part you will hear by the fire. 🥬 A tool is not a toy when it can move a person against their will. ✨ All stories in 4K Ultra HD quality! © 2026 Grandma Tosya's Fairy Tales.
