Trollskapr (Witchcraft) | Viking Music - Old Norse Song

“Trollskapr” means “Witchcraft” and tells the story of a man who follows the old ways despite mockery, fear and judgment. In Old Norse tradition, seiðr was a powerful form of magic connected to prophecy and the shaping of fate. Galdr used chants and sung incantations to awaken hidden forces. Men associated with seiðr could be accused of ergi, a grave insult meant to shame them and question their place in society. Nordic Versecraft’s “Trollskapr” turns that conflict into a dark Viking chant about isolation, ancient knowledge and refusing to bow before the fear of others. The wind, the sea, the earth and the old runes answer the singer as his voice rises above those who condemn him. 🔮🌑 Lyrics are sung in Old Norse.
