Has EA's Patch Fixed Regens in Career Mode?

A few weeks ago I made a video critizing how EA’s new regen system had basically broken career mode. You could have a fun save that was totally derailed by Millwall producing two Argentinian 85 rated god regens at the same time, and going unbeaten in the Championship. It was a real problem for every club, division and nation in the game, and it even made me pause my Bristol City save on this channel. But since then, EA has worked on a fix, that was released at the end of last week. In this patch they claim to have stopped the issue for good, but is it still there? Have they actually fixed it? And is Career Mode back, ready to be enjoyed again? Well I’ve simulated 5 seasons, just like in that video, and i’ll be trying to answer any questions I can find about the regen system. So, let’s start a brand new save in the patch, and start by simulating the first year. Annoyingly we still can’t turn off the press conferences, but after a few minutes, we’re there. July 2027. This is when the first new regens appear in the database, and it’s where the biggest problems started before the patch, so lets look through the new players to see if there any any absurd wonderkids waiting in the free agents.
