What started as a simple trip into the garden turned into a full countryside adventure. We started gathering fresh greens, spring onions, bananas, matoke, and eventually a whole lot of sugarcane. What looked like a quick visit slowly became a much bigger harvest. And the best part? We weren't taking everything home. Some of the fresh food had another destination — Grandma's home. After spending the morning harvesting, we packed everything into the car and hit the road for a peaceful countryside drive. Grandma lives about 30 kilometers away, and after a busy morning in the garden, I couldn't wait to see her. But the real reason for the journey becomes clear when we finally arrive. ❤️ THE MORNING IN THE GARDEN The day begins quietly in the countryside. Fresh vegetables are growing in the garden, chickens are wandering around, and everyone is simply getting on with the day's work. I start picking greens from the garden, collecting enough to share between home and Grandma. Sometimes the most ordinary mornings become the most memorable ones. 🌿 A SIMPLE COUNTRYSIDE HARVEST Today's harvest includes: 🥬 Fresh garden greens 🌱 Spring onions 🍌 Fresh bananas 🍌 Matoke 🌾 Fresh sugarcane 🐔 Chickens around the garden 🌿 Everyday countryside life There is something special about picking food directly from the garden and knowing exactly where it came from. 🚗 A ROAD TRIP TO GRANDMA'S But we weren't taking everything home. Some of the harvest had another destination. So we packed the car and headed out to Grandma's home, about 30 kilometers away. The drive through the countryside gives us a chance to slow down and simply enjoy the scenery, roads, greenery, and peaceful rural surroundings. ❤️ FINALLY ARRIVING AT GRANDMA'S After the journey, we finally reach Grandma's home.
