Every morning the clock reads 5:00 AM. By day she lifts weights, goes to work and keeps a brave face for her son, but she cannot shake the feeling that someone, somewhere, is watching her. On a sunlit street bench she tells her therapist, Susheela Ji, the things she has never said out loud: about the dreams, and about the accident two years ago that took her husband Pradyumna and left her with a memory she cannot explain. Susheela Ji listens with a calm that hides something of her own. Then Kanishka's oldest friend, Ranveer, turns up at the door with a chocolate bar for Vayu and a sudden, insistent plan: pack a bag and leave the city, today. It sounds like exactly what she needs.
