The U.S. Built a Bomb Full of BATS?! 😱🦇

The U.S. once developed a bomb designed to release more than a thousand bats. 🦇😳 During World War II, the bizarre concept eventually known as Project X-Ray involved attaching tiny time-delayed incendiary devices to bats. A special container would descend by parachute and release them, allowing the bats to seek dark roosting places inside buildings before the incendiaries ignited. But testing produced an incredible twist. During one test in New Mexico, several bats carrying armed incendiaries escaped, found places to roost—and accidentally set buildings at the U.S. airfield on fire. 🔥 Despite further development, the bat bomb was never used in combat.
