Description
I've spent over ten years building software. Now my brother and I are building a game in Godot, and I'm starting with AI-generated 3D assets.
In this first devlog, I ask AI agents to write Python scripts that create real Blender models. We look at what worked, what went wrong, and why a cheaper model didn't always mean a cheaper result.
From simple tools to an abandoned garage, this episode follows the first experiments, compares the results and session costs, and ends with timelapses of the assets taking shape. These are observations from my own sessions, not a controlled benchmark: the workflows weren't identical.
ABOUT THE SERIES
From Code to Game follows our attempt to build and release a game on Steam. It's set in the Beskids of southern Poland, with exploration, danger, and things you wouldn't expect to find in these mountains. We'll reveal more as we build it.
Expect code, art, AI agents, mistakes, and the small breakthroughs that turn individual assets into a playable world. Subscribe to follow the whole journey.
