Description

On the 2nd of April 1982, Argentine troops landed on the Falkland Islands and raised their flag over British territory. Argentina had taken what it calls the Malvinas, and its military leaders believed Britain was too far away, not at all bothered and not prepared to stop them. Within days, the British Navy and thousands of troops made the 8,000-mile journey, and began a brutal 74 day war. In today’s video, we will look at the Falkland’s war, just why it was started and the cost involved.
