The Secret Behind The World’s Sharpest Weapon #history #shorts

The Aztec macuahuitl looked like a wooden club, but its edges were lined with razor-sharp pieces of obsidian — volcanic glass capable of forming an incredibly fine cutting edge. Instead of relying on one continuous steel blade, the macuahuitl combined the weight of a heavy wooden weapon with rows of sharp obsidian inserts. Spanish accounts described the weapon inflicting devastating wounds during the conquest of the Americas, including a famous report of a horse being struck so violently that its neck was nearly severed. This is the brutal engineering behind one of the most infamous weapons of Aztec warfare — a weapon that looked like wood, but carried edges far sharper than ordinary steel. #shorts #aztec #macuahuitl #obsidian #weapons #history #ancientweapons #warfare #facts #shorts Disclaimer This video is intended for educational, historical, and documentary purposes only.
