Every character has a motivation. Many will be simple and small, like just clocking in to work or being by their lonesome. Other characters’ motivations can be massive, like dreams to change the world. The latter are often who we center our stories around, because let's face it, they’re probably more interesting. But in today’s video, I’d rather look at the first group. The characters with dreams of simple duties who end up leading a grand story that they want nothing to do with. The ones who are chosen by other people or by prophecies, rather than getting to choose themself.
