Description

There's a kind of tired that only long waiting produces. Not despair — despair at least has energy. This is flatter. You've stopped checking for movement. You've arranged a whole life inside the waiting room, with a favorite chair by a window you no longer look out of. Somewhere around year three, you quietly stamped an expiration date on your own hope. The longest waits in Scripture all had ends — and they almost never ended the way the person imagined. They ended with quiet markers that were easy to misread if you'd been sitting too long. In this teaching from Bible Purpose, we walk through the 7 signs a waiting season is finally over — not shifting, not stirring — over. From Hannah's face changing before her circumstances did (1 Samuel 1:18), to the Samson detail nobody preaches ("the hair of his head began to grow again" — Judges 16:22), to the confronting question Jesus asked a man who had waited 38 years. Including sign 5, the one with teeth: the re-interview that decides whether the wait ended you or just ended. 📖 SCRIPTURE REFERENCES: • 1 Samuel 1:18 — "Her face was no longer sad" — peace before the proof • Judges 16:22 — "The hair of his head began to grow again" — the in-prison sigh nobody preaches • Genesis 41:1-14 — Joseph: shaved, changed clothes, prison to palace before sundown • Mark 10:46-52 — "Be quiet!" → "Take heart. Get up. He is calling you." • John 5:2-8 — "Do you want to be healed?" — the question with teeth • Ruth 1:6, 22 — "The beginning of barley harvest" — bread returns to the House of Bread • 1 Samuel 2:21 — Hannah bore three sons and two daughters after Samuel • Luke 2:36-38 — Anna: some waits don't end in changed circumstances; they end in an arrival • Song of Solomon 2:11-13 — "The winter is past... Arise, my love, and come away" 💬 LEAVE A COMMENT BELOW: Type the three words Hannah finally got to say: "God heard me." Then one number: which of the 7 signs are you actually seeing in your own week right now? Someone else in these comments needs to see your marker. 👉 SUBSCRIBE TO BIBLE PURPOSE: Discover your God-given purpose through His Word.
