Description

In 1994, Coast Guard rescue swimmer Daniel Lusk refused to enter the Bering Sea for a third deployment after witnessing something impossible beneath the waves. He described a strange circle of “held” water, unnatural light, and pale shapes surrounding what appeared to be a missing man's body. Eleven days later, the man's survival suit was recovered forty miles away—fully intact, zipped shut, and completely dry inside. As records disappeared, statements were amended, and another diver decades earlier used the same strange phrase, “the water's held,” the mystery only deepened. What did Lusk see that night, and was the missing crewman truly lost—or was he recovered by something already waiting beneath the sea?
