Description

In 1966, at the height of the Cold War, a Soviet research team drilled through the Antarctic ice and sent a diver into waters no human had ever entered. He was tethered by a single lifeline — his only connection to the surface, and his only way back. Minutes into the dive, the line went slack, and when he finally emerged, what he described waiting in the darkness below defied every explanation his superiors could offer. The report was sealed, the expedition erased from official records, and the men involved were ordered never to speak of it again. Watch until the end, because what happened beneath the ice that night may be the reason some Antarctic waters remain off-limits to this day.
